That's normal, this command only works on later machines.
set-defaults returns OK
reset-all restarts, as expected.

Can start and run successfully OS9.1, OS9.2.2, OSX.2.8
So what am I wanting? to get the "Chime" back. Sound seems to work.
Not sure what you mean. Which chime? The boot up chime? Try a PRAM reset.
