Hi Doug,
I'd recommend that you install OS X on a second drive. This way you
won't need any decoders or special software. Just be sure to install
the DVD drive before installing OS X so that Apple's DVD Player is
installed.
Also, no problem with OS X's performance on a G3 400 as long as you
have at least 256MB of RAM
Regards.
Shawn
I have an Iomega 48x24x48 CD-RW/DVD that I am trying to get to work on my G3
400 mhz running OS 9.2.1.
How do I watch DVD movies with this. Apple DVD player v1.3, does not
recognize the drive. Is there a later version (for OS 9) or patch for OS9
that will allow me to use it to watch DVDs? I also tried to find VLC for OS
9 but could not.
Any ideas?
please email me direct as well as to list.
Thanks,
Doug
