Greetings fellow G-Listers;
I just tonight did an archive and install on my 1GHZ Sawtooth (see below
for details) of OS X.4 and was wondering what to do with the previous
system folder that remains on the harddrive. Do I still need this or can
I delete it..

If you didn't have things installed in non-standard places, have modified configuration files, fonts or 3rd party prefpanes you can't just re-install, go ahead and trash it.

When I've done "Archive and Install" I've used the "Previous System" as a guide to re-installing stuff. I go through and compare the existing system and previous system and delete stuff out of the "Previous System" that matches. What's left (more or less) are those things I had added previously. Since I don't always remember what I've installed it's helps to recreate the system the way I like it.
