Hi Andrea, Good guess! I was just getting ready to tell the list that I'd found it when I got your email. It took me a while since, for some reason, that button didn't react the first couple of times I touched it. I guess it's rather fussy! I'd still like to know if there's a way to turn it on from the keyboard, since I'm planning to put the computer under my desk! I really like my new machine, BTW. I'm running 10.3.9, with a Belkin 802.11g card. There are open networks in my area, apparently, so I may be able to say goodbye to dial-up without forking out for cable or DSL. It's a real giant leap up from running OS 9.2.2 on a PowerTower Pro with a G3/500 card, which is what I'm still writing this email on! BTW, I'm in Berkeley, California. Quite far from Australia, if that's where you are! - Aaron >Good luck >Cheers >Andrea > >On 01/11/2005, at 7:38 PM, Aaron wrote: > >> As someone who's been using Macs and helping others use them for over >> 15 years, I hate to have to ask this question, but here goes: >> >> How do you start up a G4 Dual 867 MDD with a Pro Keyboard? >> >> I have never used any desktop with a USB keyboard before; I've been >> using only ADB Macs or iBooks (or early PowerBooks) until last night, >> when I bought this nice, powerful machine that was working when I >> bought it. >> >> Is there a power key on the Pro Keyboard?
