The printer will print a Word doc just fine, but try to prine an
Acrobat reader 5.0 pdf and no luck. No error mesage; job shows up OK
in the desktop printer, but nothing happens. No printing. And yes,
printing is fully allowed.

Ideas? Pdfs used to print OK...

Just had the same problem last night. I just sent it to my Dell running XP
Pro and it printed fine. I think it is because of the version of Adobe
Reader. Adobe stopped supporting the Apple platform at version 5. When you
get a doc created in a newer version, it won't print in the older. I haven't
checked this out in OS X, but I think that Adobe has done the same.
A stop gap measure would be to take a screen shot and print from that.
