Don, unfortunately, that won't solve his problem.  The CD SC drive is a
CD-ROM drive.  Cannot read floppies.  The Commodore 64 formats floppies in
a completely different manner than an Apple II.  So, I don't think there's
a way to do it, except by kludging a cable together that hooks his
Commodore 1541 or 1571 drive up to a PC's parallel port.  With Apple II
software, it's easier, in that you can use a LC series machine with the IIe
card and an Apple 5.25 Drive connected to the card.  Then you can transfer
files to the internal floppy drive on the LC.
