Anybody out there have good results with this software? I'm in the
midst of trying to make a mini use a Samsung hdtv as a display, and I'm
not having much luck. The Samsung has a dvi connector on the back, so I
figure I'm in good shape there. I can get a very grainy looking desktop
with almost illegible text at several resolutions with millions of
colors, and some applications, like DVD player and Quicktime, are quite
clear. I tried to install SwitchRes X, on the recommendation of several
sources, to have more control over the configuration of the display, but
I'm getting nowhere. The installer did not create the menu bar icon,
the contextual menu launcher does nothing, and opening the app from
System preferences causes it to crash within seconds. It won't even
uninstall completely.
Any advice, ridicule, words of sympathy?
Thanks in advance,
Carl Kehley
