Jeff thank you for your response and information, I found the Acard
webpage and checked it out. I'm still uncertain as to whether or not i
want to keep this card or just go with the SATA card i have.


My 2ยข is to use this card since it supports 4 drives and your sata card only supports 2. The theoretical speed increase with sata will not be seen in drives for a while, but a 4 drive hardware raid WITH GOOD BACKUPS (4x400G =1.6TB storage or even using 2 drives for storage with the other 2 as a mirror) on ata may suit you better than only 2 drives on the sata and whatever other (drives up to 120G) you put on the native ata.
