I was reading an old book on Linux and it had a section on RAID.  I 
learned some useful information, such as the fact that setting up a RAID where 
each 
drive is on a seperate controller is called duplexing.
    Anyway, it said that for RAID 3, if you wanted 80GB of space available, 
you'd need to purchase 90GB of Harddrive space.  So apparently 2x40GB drives 
and a 10GB parity drive.  Does that make sense?  If so, how big does the parity 
drive have to be compared to the other drives?  Also, does the parity drive 
need to be as high performance as the other 2 drives?
