I have just got a G4 533 digital audio with 1.25gb ram 30gb and
20gb hdd cdrw running 10.4.3 with airport This was to replace my
G4 400 agp with 1gb ram same hdds airport and cdrw, but on
inspection there is only 3 ram slots in the 533 so if i keep the
400 and just swap the ram around i could have a 400 with 50gb hdd
space 1.75gb ram airport and cdrw.
what would be the best idea??
The DA has a faster system bus, faster ATA bus, *and* a CPU that's
33% faster. Keep the DA, sell the 400 with the 256MB DIMM from the
DA, buy a bigger DIMM for the DA.
Maxing RAM on a slower system really doesn't get you much of any
advantage.
