Hey folks, I'm a little stumped, and hopefully someone here can help jiggle my brain.
I've got an 8600 which has been upgraded with a Sonnet G3 450, 544mb RAM, and a Sonnet TempoHD ATA card. I've got a 10gig and a 250gig on the ATA, and a 4gig SCSI drive on the default SCSI bus.
I'm trying to bring this up to OSX, and have been having a bear of a time. I finally loaded X on it by putting the 10gig in a B&W and after much trial and error finally got it to boot last night with XPostFacto 4, using the SCSI drive as a 'helper'.
But... It takes a very long time to boot. And once it finally does, the SCSI devices (HD and CD) don't show up, and the CPU is getting almost completely hogged by a kernel process. Needless to say, it's painfully slow.
I'm not sure what to do to solve this.
