Is there a tried and true way for Macs on 10.4 to surf completely stealth? I
have noticed my cable modem IP address has always been visible to websites and
has never changed in over two years. My sevice provider, OS and browser info.
is also available to any site or probing individual. My set-up is a cable modem
that goes to a Linksys router with three Mac computers connected.

Every method of going anonymous or cloaking that I have looked into seem to
have holes in them. Is paying for a good proxy server the only answer? What
about Mac software solutions. JAP has been recommended but then I've seen
controversy that it's funded by the German government and had built-in
tracking software discovered by some code busters a few years back:

Anyone on this list have any recommendations in this area?
