As it happened, I found this myself this morning but see that you are all as spot on as ever! I was getting frustrated yesterday! After years on my trusty 7300 and 7600, I am just now using this fancy QS G4 seriously. I can get on the internet. My OE works fine. And most of my major programs. So far I have lost ability to (1) Print anything (2) Use any of my millions of SCSI zip devices (3) Put the computer screens to sleep (I run 2 and will run 3 soon. (4) Use KeyQuencer and (5) get nice loud sound from my external speakers. But I won't flood you with the details here. But I might ask for help if I can't get things to work. At least I am able to get going. BTW I know why 1 and 2. I have a nice apple personal laserwriter and want to keep it! I believe it can be run with some sort of ethernet bridge on a network arrangement... I will be interested to know if I can run one of my many 7300 or 7600s as some sort of device controllable from the QS so I can use the printer and even the SCSI zip devices attached? I will ask about this some other time I guess... Next step will be to use X seriously, I have Tiger installed on a separate partition. But for now, I need to continue on 9 because I am in middle of work.... -- David Elmo -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
