hi,

I am wanting to add my HP LaserJet 6L to my beige G3.

The beige doens't have a parallel port, so I got hold of a USB->Parallel adapter (a belkin one) and plugged it in.

I've downloaded ESPGS, gimp-print and hpijs-foomatic that all seem to suggest ethe printer is supported
by them.

But I seem to be unable ot add the printer or set it up correctly.

Is this even possible? does the USB->Parallel adapter require drivers? in the Print Center when I select USB in the Add Printer bit, I get: Unknown Driver Not Installed, yet I've installed the driver via gimp=-print?

Any ideas?

Do PCI parallel port cards for Macs exist? would bthis be a better way ot going about things?

Thanks in advance,

Kelly
