Yes it will work. I believe the Blue G3 has the ability to recognize
single sided DIMMs as full size, but the beige needs double sided, or
else it will be accessed as half size. These computers use SDRAM, and
SDRAM is rated in the speed it can handle in MHz. The Beige G3 has a
66MHz bus, and therefore requires a minimum of PC66. The Blue G3 has a
100MHz bus and requires a minimum of PC100.
So, memory from the beige wont work in a blue G3 if it is PC66, but
memory out of a blue G3 will always be fast enough for a beige. I dont
know what you are using the beige for, but may I recommend overclocking?
You can run your bus at 83MHz, and your processor at 292MHz. The old
beige motherboards were actually designed to be able to run at 83MHz.
And Ive heard of dozens of people who have run their 266s at 300, me
being one of them, so 292 should be no problem. Hope I haven't bored you.
