I couldn't agree more: copycats do indeed abound.

In January of 2001, Creative Labs said that they had already sold 100,000
Nomad Jukeboxes.  The Nomad II was introduced in October of 1999.   In
October 2001, Apple announced the iPod.

I'd be the first to agree with anyone who says that Apple's styling of their
products is second to none and that their marketing is (usually) very good,
too.  I'm not convinced, however, that Apple is any better than any other
corporation when it comes to nicking ideas for their own use.

As for Apple suing people, I've found that companies that are truly focused
on innovation don't have time for lawsuits; they're simply too busy
developing new products will blow the old ones away.  Check out this
