J=F6rg, I suspect your problem might be a lack of the OS=20 9 drivers on your hard drive. They are not=20 installed by default, and without them you can't=20 access that drive with a system running anything=20 below X. In Classic, X still handles the disk=20 access tasks. Try booting from an OS 9 CD, and see if you can=20 access the hard drive. If not, that's probably=20 the cause. Sadly, the only solution is to erase=20 the drive and install the drivers (from the OS X=20 installer). End of quote. Dan, I formatted the OS9-partition as HFS+ when I installed Panther and it is seen as a possible startup disk when I start from the original OS9 installer-CD. Thank you anyway!
