My PowerBook G3/300 running 10.2.8 can find and connect via Ethernet/router to my G4 1.25 MDD tower running 10.3.9 just fine.

BUT the G4 tower can never find the PowerBook.

What gives? I'm sure that there is a setting somewhere that I haven't looked at but not sure where and on which computer to look.

Same issues here. Machines running Jaguar can always find our Panther and Tiger machines. But the higher machines can't always find the one running Jaguar. And if they do, the connectivity (AFP/IP) is often unstable.

So far our solution is to always go from Jag->.

I've read that changing the machine's appletalk broadcast name to all one word (no spaces, no special characters) improves things. Didn't help here tho.
