I have a Sawtooth which I have removed the IDE port from in order to fit
a 933MHz processor out of a QuickSilver. After that modification, the machine
won't get past the grey startup screen even with the old processor in. I
have been told by another person who did this that getting a new PCI card
allowed
the computer to operate, but Id much rather fix whatever problem is going on.
I have been getting a lot of errors usng the Ultra ATA port, which should
be a totally different bus than the IDE (CD) port, right? If not, is there
someway I can cut off or disable the IDE bus totally?

Thanks for any help

Chris P
