I'm wanting to have a tv and a computer in my radio room, but don't have room for both. Currently I'm using my 5500/225 with the Apple video system w/tuner card, and the Apple Video Player software. However, I would much rather use my G3 AIO "Molar", as it's a much better all around system. The Molar does have the A/V personality card with both audio/composite video and S-video inputs. I'd love to be able to use the TV tuner card out of the 5500 in the Molar, but as I understand it there's no way to make it work. It looks like I should be able to run off the A/V outputs of my satellite receiver with some looooong cables to the audio/comp. video in ports on the Molar, and then use the Apple Video Player software. Does anybody know if this will work? If not, what else can I do? I'm only running OS 9.2.1 on it right now, so the lack of support in OS X for the A/V card probably isn't an issue right now, but I want to put X on it someday and bring it into the 21st century. What options do I have for tv-in under OS X in a Molar? Also, I'd like to be able to connect the Molar to my network wirelessly (802.11b). What PCI wireless cards will work in this in both 9 and X?
Thanks for any help!
