Seemed to work out pretty well, except for the alias,
as you say, which need redone, as they refer to the
other hard drive. I just used  Carbon Copy cloner to
copy OS 10.4. I have to say this works pretty
flawlessly. Great way to avoid reinstalling everything
when you want to add a larger hard drive.
