I have a stick of RAM that came from my iMac DV when I upgraded it,

PC-100, 222, 128mb, with 8 chips. I really believed that this would
work okay, but when I tried it, all I got was the "breaking glass"
sound and no video. I currently have a 128mb, and two 32mb sticks, all
double-sided installed. They work okay. Can anybody tell me why the
single-side 128 won't work?

Nobody? Anybody? Buehler?...Buehler?.....

The Molars used PC-66 DIMM RAM. It can't use PC-100's.

Actually, memory SHOULD be backwards-compatible, at least speed-wise. At least it's always worked that way for me so far. My old Beige G3 tower also had a 66mhz bus, but I know I ran PC100 RAM in it. Just like my B&W has a 100mhz bus, but I'm running PC133 in it. The faster RAM will simply run at the slower bus speed, so you don't gain the speed benefit in a slower bus of the fast RAM, but it will still work. The Omni Tech site lists PC133 for all G3 models, and they are an Apple Certified Developer, so I would assume they know what they're talking about. I believe the problem is somehow related to the fact that it's single-sided RAM, and therefore it has something to do with the density of the RAM chips on the stick, but that's just a guess at this point.
