Hey folks...

I just picked up a new 5-button Kensington mouse for my G4 (my old
Microsoft optical finally died). I make a point to buy as few
Microsoft products as I can, but the previous one was given to me as a
gift a number of years ago.

Anyway, the new Kensington is wonderful but I want to be able to use
the two extra buttons to control the system volume (one for volume up,
one for volume down).

The keyboard I use with my G4 doesn't have volume control keys on it
which is why I'd like to be able to use my new mouse for this.

The Kensington mouse gives you the ability to assign any combination
of keystrokes you wish to any of the mouse buttons. Since many Mac
keyboards include volume up/down keys, I have to assume there MUST be
a way to emulate this on a keyboard that doesn't have such keys.
Search as I might, I can't find any reference anywhere that tells you
how you would do this.

Anyone know how you would go about doing this?

This is under OS 10.2.8, BTW.

Thanks.

-Nat
