Dear G-List: I have a customer who has a Power Mac G5 Quad and a Lacie S2S drive. The Lacie drive only comes with a PCI-X card, which, of course, will not fit inside the G5. After doing some research I found a Mac-compatible PCI Express card, a Rocketraid 2320. The Rocketraid is an internal card and so will not directly attach to the Lacie S2S drive. After doing some more research I found an external-to-internal SATA Port PCI Bracket adapter (http://www.satacable.com/ all_sata_cables.html; see top of page) which will allow the Lacie S2S to interface with the Rocketraid card. My question: Has anyone here had any experience using a Lacie S2S drive with a Rocketraid 2320 card? My customer needs to know if this particular combination will work.
