If you know the card is good, then you most likely have an antenna issue. It's either broken somewhere or fallen out of place. This would be a warrantee repair if it's under warrantee. I've seen this happen in Powerbooks, the antenna gets out of place which really kills reception.


A question:

can I swap out that card with the regular airport card that is in my G4
powerbook titanium? or will I fry something.

It won't even fit. The old Airport cards and Airport extremes use different connectors.
