You must ALWAYS press the CUDA button when changing the hardware og
your Mac. Might work without, but then you are just being lucky
When I installed my ATA Acard it refused to restart until I pressed the
CUDA and the other little reset switch just like it.

Check the PRAM battery, and try resetting the CUDA switch.
