Unlike the Windows version, though, the Mac version allows only a single connection to be made at once.

I found a cool OSS alternative to Microsoft's Remote Desktop, called rdesktop.

It uses X11, but it also allows you to connect to more than one server at a time.

downloaded the 1.4.1 source, did the 'configure/make/make install' dance and it works just fine.
