That's cool! I didn't know that would work, either.
I have accomplished the same feat using a couple of different dvd
rom / cdrw combo drives from different laptops that were left over
from upgrades.
there are a lot of usb to Ide adapters floating around on ebay right
now that I have been experimenting with for external solutions on my
MDDP .
