Duh...I meant the right side panel. The one with the power button. It is a bear to get on or off without breaking the tabs.

If you mean the "door" that opens to give access to the innards, I can't see what the difficulty might be. Just push the big blue button and the door swings away. Lift it up and it is removed. Drop it into its slot and swing it closed. No fuss, no muss. The easiest thing in the world, especially after working on an 8500! What am I missing?
