You guys were correct: I took the funky monitor back to Best Buy
and after their Geek Squad hooked it up to a Windoze machine, they
agreed it was defective. They gave me a replacement and it looks
great! Wow! Defective right out of the box! How bizarre! Thanks,
again for the input!
