The easiest (perhaps the only) way is to download AOL Communicator 
Keyword: Communicator. Once installed go to AOL Communicator Preferences 
and click on "Manage Plain Text Documents" and enter 
"mail.maclaunch.com" without quotes and any other domains you want to 
send plain text to.

Communicator works seamlessly with the standard AOL main client and has 
more feature. I'm sending this message with Communicator--glen (digest mode)
