I tried with Firmare update 2.4 & 4.18
Both won't go. Held the button down until the end of the long beep,
and then tried at the start of the beep.
Everytime I got a message say it didn't work.
In thje read me it said I would see a message onscreen, never anything
Did you run the update from the HD? You can't run it off the CD.
Did you run the update in Mac OS 9.1 or later, _not_ Classic?
I ran it in 9.2.1, off the HD...still no go
BTW why is everybody using DIMM First Aid to test their DIMMs? This is
app is not flawless, lot of bad DIMMs pass their test. If you think you
have bad memory remove them to see if you gain stability!
True but OSX is such a hog for memory that you might lose stability as
well.
