This can been done, but requires *major* surgery and
reconstruction of the drive bay, since there's only a 3 1/2" bay
behind the zip drive.
I would need / want to find a spring-loaded drive door to keep

running OS X 10.4.4 - be able to handle DVD-burning and CD
importing into iTunes at the same time?
No way. Thats a recipe for lots of DVD coasters.
