Size: Nope. The ATA connector on laptop drives is smaller. There -are- inexpensive ($10) adapters that will allow you to attach a laptop drive to a standard (tower-type) ATA cable connection or external-drive case. There are also external Firewire cases specifically for the smaller laptop drives!
