Dear e-listers, Let me break the ice with a technical question, for those of you who use Unicode to transcribe Dead Sea Scrolls. I have been using the Unicode characters U+05AF (HEBREW MARK MASORA CIRCLE) and U+05C4 (HEBREW MARK UPPER DOT) to place a circle and dot (respectively) above characters that are only partially legible. Is this common practise, or is there a preferable way?
