Hi. While tieing Apple OS to Apple hardware can seem a pain, it does mean they
oversea all hardware combinations.

If they start shipping OSX for PC then it will end like Windows and require
third party drivers that conflict and need updating.

In the years I have had Macs I have only needed third party drivers for a
couple of items.

I like sitting in front of my beautifully designed computer adorned with Apple
logos.

Don't get me wrong the OS is what makes us Mac users, but I don't think I would
feel quite the same sitting in from of a Dell with OSX installed.

As I was speaking on this subject to a friend earlier today Apple and
MS must contend not only with each other but with the umpteen flavors
of Linux that are rapidly gaining ground. To ignore the sales power of
an Apple OS on a PC , getting the message of what a good GUI can do
for the end user is to ignore the sound of those hoofbeats behind
them. When notebooks with Linux installed reach the sales figures they
are today it is time to listen and act. Or those hoof prints will have
Linux shaped shoes. Wake up Apple! Give the greater end user world an
Apple PC OS!
