Where does it need to go? We are all waiting to see the outcome of the
Apple-Psystar suits. With much anticipation I would think. Legal
processes move at a pace of their own.

I would say near ten years of mac use put me well behind others here.
As far as Apple watching I am not any more of one than i am an MS
watcher, Linux watcher or Amiga watcher. ( Oh , yes, that ship is not
totally sunk yet. It floats around like the " Flying Dutchman" of the
computer world. Haunting the genetic memories of computer users with
recollection of what a real GUI is meant to be .)

My opinion on Steve is a post or two back. If any there I would hope
he would be the one to really see a bigger view of this all. I am sure
what I mmean by bigger view is not what you see in the phrase.

And saved the company using a HUGE cash loan from brother Bill. Bill
who got that cash by selling to a much bigger market. Bill who needs
Apple to fend off government monopoly charges. Bill who many here
claim to loathe.
Bill who is a behind the scenes partner in saving Apple. That Bill.

I am not asking for the renewal of HW clone licensing. And It is
interesting that Apple components are made in the same factories as PC
parts. So what the heck is a clone anyway? We Amigans had to ask
ourselves " What is an Amiga" ( Everyone else was asking 'what is an
Omega!:->) over a decade ago. Did i miss the hardware? not even a
1000th as much as the OS. 68x00 chips were so passe in 1994. Amigans
are in two camps hobbyists who run old machines and do there best to
get I/o to the world outside. And those who migrated the OS to PC
hardware
more than a decade ago and still use Amiga OS on a daily basis. In
fact Amiga OS 4.1 has been recently released.

Apple watcher? GUI watcher is more my thing.

I have suggested Apple address the problem by A. Selling a
$500.00-600.00 tower with slots and space and connectivity other
machines on the market take for granted. B. Selling an "Apple
branded, Apple authored ( already extant) PC market OS. C. Or as a
last resort, rewrite the EULA for OS X and with or without support let
those who want, buy and install OS X on their Vista capable PC.

What licensing are you talking about? Psystar asked for no license.
To my knowledge my local computer builder gets no license when he puts
Winblowz on a box.

There is a deep injustice when an Intel Mac buyer can install
Winblowz yet we are not allowed to install an Apple OS on PC
equipment. The tight-grassed attitude is a poke in the eye to any Mac
user who wishes to use the OS on all of his machine. I can have many
cars ( Bruce's favs are Mercs Hi Bruce:) ) but I don't have to buy
proprietary gasoline for each.

Cheaper kit is, I suppose, an oz or UK way of saying " reasonably
affordable computer system.

What in the whole universe is wrong with that?????????????????????????????
