Can I please ask for your assistance in troubleshooting this problem. I have a 400MHz G4 PowerMac (Gigabit Ethernet, I believe) on which I wish to install OS9. I have a retail version of the OS (white CD with gold 9 logo and marked Z691-2386-A). When I boot from the CD I get an "Unimplemented Trap" error. I have tried booting with extensions, zapping the PRAM, resetting Open Firmware, even resetting the PMU. All to no avail. I can put another HDD in with OS 10.4 on it and it will boot fine from that disk. But I have taken that out and am trying to install OS9 on another disk, so I can upgrade the firmware on this machine. You may have seen an earlier post of mine re firmware upgrade - well the OSX upgrader didn't work (unrecognised ROM) so I back to trying to install OS9. Any troubleshooting advice appreciated.
