I thought Apple had FINALLY created a magic bullet which would kill  
my Hackintosh, but a simple fix out-foxed Apple on that score.

Yes, there was a magic bullet, under the guise of  
AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext, but if you opened TERMINAL session  
and then looped on rm /S/L/E/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext the  
10.5.5 update would go.

Thereafter, and before restarting, you CTRL-c'd out of the loop and  
replaced the text in a certain startup file whereby "Dont Steal Mac  
OS X,kext" became "dsmos.kext".

I'm not "stealing" Mac OS X.

I have a receipt for the full retail version of the darn thing, and I  
have its media and all packaging, too!
