I want to thank you for this reply. I was ready to buy the ATI 9200
pci board but checked the wattage of the power supply in the
Quicksilver, which turned out to be 344. The minimum for the 9800 AGP
card alone is 300 watts. I called Other World Compting, where they
had said that the second board would not affect the video output of
the first and told them about the power supply issue. They
appologized for not thinking of it and said that I'd need to install a
bigger power block to make it work. Running that second graphics
board probably would have fried the power supply.

They told me I could get a 500 watt supply for a PC for about $50 and
an adapter for the mother board plug and gave sources. This is not
something I am about to do right away, since the computer is needed
for a show in a month. But it is useful information and worth
considering.

I feel that your advice gave me useful information, and more
important, saved us from a disaster.

Thanks,
Rich
