I tried to repair a PowerMac G3 and found the reason for why the machine's crashing very often, one of the DIMMs was the reason.
After that I started a filesystem check and since then the PowerMac wouldn't start any more. When starting from an installation DVD and starting the harddisk manager application the volume is greyed out and the application isn't able to repair the filesystem. Any ideas how to repair the filesystem and/or rescue the data from the harddisk? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed Low End Mac's G3-5 List, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
