If you have more than one mac and a small network you might want to look at a network drive I have one which I use with an iBook G4 and a MDD. OK they are G4s but you've just made me remember that I have a strawberry iMac in a box in the spare room. This is now coming out of the box and going to be used as an iTunes player etc. in my bedroom. Cheers for that! The other thing to consider is speed. Unless you have a USB 2 card I would think a firewire drive the best option. USB 1 is sooooooo slooooooooooooowww I've had USB 2 drives on a G3 B&W with a card and they were OK. Firewire was better, plus it uses a port that may never get anything else plugged into it (leaving it feeling lonely and unwanted) but the network drive (for me) is best.
