Ok, I've googled my face off with no luck.... I have a external HD plugged into my Airport extreme (802.11n) and as long as the drive is mounted on the desktop, it's available to me. BUT, when it's not mounted, goes to sleep, then disappears? and the only way to get it to come up is to power it down then back up.. what a pain! I like the idea that it could sleep when not in use, but to not have it available makes the whole "network storage" concept completely useless. Thanks for all reply's Jeff
