I have a USB bluetooth in my other Mac and I have not noticed any speed
difference between that and the internal that was in the iMac.

My only reason for questioning was because I have the internal card sitting
here and it would save a USB port.

 Hi Simon,
>From what I know of them:
* fairly easy to fit (Got to go inside, but only once, like an Airport card
or modem)
* comparable in performance to a USB BT adapter
* very difficult to find, esp. with the (needed) antennae
* over-priced by about all eBay sellers (as in way over-priced

Best bet, IMHO, is to get a USB adapter.
