When you signed up there was a page listing what each email list was for. Vintage, PCI, G3-5, Swap etc. This is the way the LEM lists have always been, and I have been here for more than a decade. That being said I was not in any way trying to drive someone away. It was just that this is not the iMac list, and it seems like all the people that should be on the iMac list were just posting here. Either because they didn't realize that there even was an iMac list, didn't read the list descriptions when they signed up or just don't care. I understand that there are a few people on this list in particular who are very active and actually know what they are talking about. Hello Bruce, Dan etc. I read this list while at work as an Apple Service technician (and network admin etc.) and there is some great info to be had here. I don't think I have seen so much "spot-on" advice anywhere (and I know most, if not all of the answers to each post but never bother to respond anymore because there is no need for me to). So how about this? Join the appropriate list and post your question there. If you don't get any answers or need further assistance then go ahead and post here. If I see that you *tried* to post on the correct list I will never give you a hard time. I have not warned a single person for posting here btw. I was just pointing out that this was not the iMac list. In the meantime I will contact the list owner and see what he wants to do about possible merging a couple lists or making an iMac exception of some sort.
