'Open Firmware' IS a FORTH operating system. There are FORTH resources available on-line --- try GOOGLE To give yourself a tantalizing look at what may be possible, at the OF prompt, enter words (return) You will have to have at least started to look into FORTH, to make much sense, but there is a lot that can be done. Also, check 'Open Firmware' in Apple's Documentation archives.
