Keep the monitor, you're only alternative is to find a used Apple 
monitor that has ADC.

With that monitor you have three options.

1   Use the VGA port.  This will work with what you already have.

2   Update your graphics card to something like a ATI Radeon 7000
     or better.  Make sure you get one with a DVI output.

3   Get the Belkin adapter.



I'd get the graphics card.  It'll cost around as much as the Belkin 
adapter, you won't have the extra dongle and it'll keep your gear more 
up to date.
