I'm seriously considering downgrading my dual 2.3 G5 back to Tiger 10.4.11. I was hoping Apple would fix these Leopard issues, but so far nothing is coming. I think you took the correct solution, and as you said, "I think we've solved the problem". The only reason I haven't downgraded is because of Leopard's Time Capsule/Time Machine, and that's just as bad as the G5 is, and again, no help from Apple. I did some benchmarks with firewire HDs with 10.4.11 and 10.5.5 and on my G4 1.58 GHz Mini and G5 dual 2.3 GHz Tiger was about 20% faster than Leopard, which is another reason I should downgrade. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed Low End Mac's G3-5 List, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
