LaCie cables are really short — maybe a foot. But I've got a LaCie
500GB d2 Quadra and I absolutely love it. It's a little noisy when
it's doing something, but it's fast and reliable. And on top of that,
it's gorgeous.

Can't really say anything about OWC hard drives. I've always stuck
with LaCie, and I've never had one of their drives fail me. Ever. And
I've had LaCie hard drives since 9GB was big. (Actually, I've still
got that SCSI drive and it works like a charm.)
