It would be HDMI IN.

Are you talking about a computer monitor or an HDTV?  Computer monitors 
usually have DVI and / or VGA, HDTVs usually have HDMI.

If the computer has DVI output (which a G5 or intel Mac probably does) 
you can get a DVI to HDMI adapter or cable for $5-10 to connect it.

My G4 Mac Mini has DVI output which is fed to a DVI to HDMI cable into 
my HDTV.
