It would be HDMI IN. Are you talking about a computer monitor or an HDTV? Computer monitors usually have DVI and / or VGA, HDTVs usually have HDMI. If the computer has DVI output (which a G5 or intel Mac probably does) you can get a DVI to HDMI adapter or cable for $5-10 to connect it.
